Over the past four years, the STARS (Supporting Teachers and Readers Successfully) reading intervention program and our literacy coaching program at the AMA ESD has utilized an online coaching platform called SIBME. This platform has had a significant impact on how reading interventionists connect, receive support, and get feedback from their RTI coach, Hilary Robinette. SIBME is helping interventionists achieve their goals and receive the support they need in a convenient way.
SIBME offers a key feature – huddle spaces. Think of them as virtual meeting rooms where reading interventionists and the coach can connect, share videos of interventions in action, and discuss goals at times convenient for everyone. It's a great way to stay connected and collaborate effectively.
SIBME provides the ability to record videos of reading interventionists and the coach in action. This helps program staff reflect on both intervention and coaching practices aligned with their SMART goals, which is essential for evaluating progress. Recording intervention sessions and coaching conversations not only saves time but also enhances productivity.
Thanks to SIBME, the STARS program continues to stay focused on improving the teaching of effective learning strategies and coaching practices. It's a great tool that brings our intervention team together and helps them grow as a team! #beAMAzing
