The Alpena-Montmorency-Alcona Educational Service District (AMA ESD) is welcoming students and staff back for the start of the 2026–27 school year.
Across Alpena, Montmorency, and Alcona counties, AMA ESD staff are returning to classrooms and school buildings to provide specialized programs and services for students and families throughout the region.
“Our staff brings an incredible amount of experience, expertise, and commitment to the students and districts we serve,” said AMA ESD Superintendent Justin Gluesing. “As we begin a new school year, we are excited to have students back in our classrooms and to continue working alongside our local school districts to help every student learn, grow, and succeed.”
The AMA ESD partners with Alpena Public Schools, Alcona Community Schools, Atlanta Community Schools, and Hillman Community Schools to provide special education, early childhood, instructional, and other educational services throughout its three-county service area.
