The Alpena-Montmorency-Alcona Educational Service District (AMA ESD) received a clean audit opinion for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026.
The independent audit, conducted by Straley Lamp & Kraenzlein P.C., resulted in an unmodified, or "clean," opinion, the highest level of assurance provided through a financial statement audit. Auditors reported no material weaknesses or significant deficiencies in internal controls, no material audit adjustments, and no disagreements with district management.
"We are extremely pleased with the results of this year's audit," said Justin Gluesing, AMA ESD Superintendent. "A clean audit is a reflection of the hard work and professionalism of our business office. Melissa Cook, AMA ESD Business Manager, and our entire business office team do outstanding work throughout the year. Their attention to detail ensures that our district's financial resources are managed responsibly and transparently, allowing us to remain focused on supporting students, families, and local school districts."
