STARS Reading Interventionists (RTIs) from the AMA ESD are busy preparing for end-of-year goal check-ins by perfecting new instructional strategies they have learned and implemented this year. First, there's the 'Three-Part Drill,' where they assist students using multi-sensory activities to enhance learning and memory. Second, they are focusing on 'Red Words,' which are tricky words that frequently appear in reading. By helping students master these words, they can improve overall reading skills. RTIs are also implementing 'Success Criteria,' ensuring that each student is aware of their engagement level and how they perform during each lesson. The STARS Program takes great pride in delivering each lesson with fidelity, which means being consistent in their teaching methods and staying true to the research-based delivery of the intervention. This creates a steady and reliable program which allows the best learning space for all students.
