New learning alert! Teachers in Atlanta are flexing their book muscles by engaging kids in talking about books. (L) Second grade teacher, Mrs. Jones, carries different books around as she moves about the building. Carrying a book can help to strike up interest and conversation from students. (R) Third grade teacher, Mrs. Krzyszton, helps students to have a space to share the books they are currently reading. What a great way for students to learn about books they may not have seen before. Way to #beAMAzing Atlanta!

Each number on this poster represents a child’s age and within that number are the developmental expectations for sound master. For example, if a child is having a hard time making the “l” sound and isn’t yet 7, developmentally they are on track.
